Hello Everyone. I just stayed at Farwest last weekend. It was very relaxing. We had a very large site that was all grass. We stayed there for 4 days. I would of loved to stay another 4 days but I had to get back home. We enjoyed spot 18 in the Birch campground.

Hello Everyone.

Since I wrote the initial blog on Rincon Parkway, I have stayed there a few more times. I have to say, it was very enjoyable and relaxing. During the last trip we encountered a brief rainstorm. That leads me to the purpose of this comment.

PUT YOUR AWNINGS IN BEFORE YOU LEAVE OR BEFORE YOU GO TO BED.

I have encountered two separate occasions in which there was a brief wind storm. The first was at 1:00 AM. I woke up in time to pull the awning in but my friend next to me was not that lucky. He left for the night and while I was putting my awning away, his was broken and flapping in the wind. My recent visit was a clear reminder. A sudden bust of wind and rain came in and my neighbor was gone for the afternoon. We almost lost his awning was we were trying to put it in for him.

Just a tip from the Rincon.

Great idea for the 'foot washing station'! I live in SW Florida, fulltime in an RV, and sand is a constant issue.

My biggest solution, (and the one I reccomend most) is to remove all of your wall-to-wall carpet and replace it with peeland stick tile! (It's actually much easier than it sounds, looks great, and is SO MUCH EASIER to maintain...)

I used wood parquet tiles, they are good looking, sand sweeps right off, and if you get a little rain (I just rode out TS Fay in the RV this week) it wipes right up and you are dry and clean again in seconds...

Carpet feels nice on your feet, but area rugs are just as good, and you can take those out of the RV and beat them clean much more effectively than a vacuum cleaner can!

Tile is the way to go if you have kids, travel anywhere there is sand, dirt or rain, and just want a super low maintenance RV!!!

This weekend I took my family to Far West Resort. I have to say it was a pleasurable trip. Very relaxing. The staff was helpful when we needed to switch spots because we ended up in the only site in the park with gravel instead of grass/dirt.

The creek was full of little fish and frogs. There was even a spot that was deep enough to go swimming.

I hope to return to Far West Resort very soon.
